Type de stage
Stage de M2 ingénierie biomédicale / Dernière année d’école d’ingénieur
Date / durée du stage
01/01/2017, durée de stage : 6 mois.
Contexte
The Laboratoire d’imagerie biomédicale works since many years on possible physio-pathological mechanisms determining neurodegeneration in motor neuron diseases, especially in patients affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). One of the fields of study developed in our group is application of spinal cord MRI for visualization and quantification of degeneration in motor neuron diseases with several protocols already running with the aim of improving technical and clinical knowledge.
Mission(s)
Aim of this internship will be the collaboration in spinal cord MRI acquisitions and in data treatment in the context of protocols focused on the description of white matter and gray matter degeneration in ALS and in other motor neuron diseases. Images will be treated and analyzed mainly using the Spinal cord toolbox software but other software and approaches will be evaluated and developed in the context of the internship.
Compétences
We look for M2 biomedical engineer students with an interest in neurosciences and in learning technics of analysis of spinal cord imaging in healthy subjects and patients mainly affected by motor neuron diseases. Experience in the use of C language and of Matlab is appreciated.
